40th Anniversary of the founding of the Spode Society

September 22nd Our Annual General Meeting will be held by Zoom this year on 22nd September at 18.00 hours (UK). If you have any items you would like to be included in the Agenda please let us know. At the conclusion of the Zoom meeting there will be a Chat session (Bring and Brag !) whereby members can talk about their latest purchases or any other Spode or Copeland item.

October 15th VISIT TO THE HOME OF COLLECTORS IN RICHMOND ON THAMES, SURREY : Thursday 15th October 2026 from 100.00 to 13.00 hours. Members are invited to view a collection of 18^th century and later blue and white ceramics, hand painted ceramics including Bow, Worcester, Lowestoft and Derby and transferware printed ceramics c.1800-1840 including Spode. The collection is on four floors, so the visit is unsuitable for those unable to negotiate stairs. After tea/coffee on arrival and an introductory chat we will be given a guided tour around the house, which, in addition to the ceramics has other items of artistic interest on view. The location is a few minutes walk from Richmond Station. After our visit a light lunch can be taken a short distance from the house at one of the many nearby cafes and takeaways. If you have not been to Richmond before you are recommended to take the opportunity to explore Richmond Green and Riverside and to visit J. M. W. Turner’s home in St. Margaret’s. Booking required. Numbers will be limited to 8 persons on a first come basis. Donation £10 to be given to Turner’s House.
